Ghanta or Bell
At left  is the famous bell, under which oath was taken.
Even during the hostile rule by the Portuguese, the government had to take cognisance of this fact and the decisive oath under the bell on the
chawk of Shri Mahalasa's Temple was recognised by various decrees and orders. 
The system is not in practice now.
